Ibiza is known as "the party island," but this beautiful island has so much more to offer and is great for a cycling vacation. During your cycling vacation in Ibiza, you will cycle varied bicycle tours of 40-60 kilometers daily. The cycling routes are on paved, car-free interior roads and through authentic villages. Flat stretches alternate with hilly countryside.

Ibiza is known as "the party island," but this beautiful island has so much more to offer and is great for a cycling vacation. During your cycling vacation in Ibiza, you will cycle varied bicycle tours of 40-60 kilometers daily. The cycling routes are on paved, car-free interior roads and through authentic villages. Flat stretches alternate with hilly countryside.

Day to day

Arrival at Ibiza airport and transfer to hotel in Santa Eulària des Riu

After arriving at Ibiza airport, there is an approximately 20-minute transfer to the hotel in Santa Eularia. The hotel is within walking distance of the town center, equipped with many terraces and restaurants. The sandy beach is located on the promenade. What immediately stands out is the relaxed atmosphere; everything goes at a leisurely pace. At the end of the afternoon you can pick up your rental bikes at the bike rental shop

Es Canar route (40 km, 150 hm)

The first route of your cycling vacation takes you inland on paved back roads with little traffic. You will cycle through a rural area with the typical white-plastered houses and azure frames that Ibiza is known for. Es Canar is a village,located directly on the sea. Every Wednesday the hippie market takes place here.

Sant Joan Labritja route (45/60 km, 450/700hm)

During today’s route, you will cycle through a hilly area towards the village of Saint Joan Labritja. This village is about halfway through the drive . People come here to enjoy the authentic “old Ibiza. It is hard to fathom that in the past this was one of the busiest regions on the island in terms of agriculture.

Sant Mateu route (60 km, 400 hm)

You will cycle west to the charming village of Santa Gertruidis de Fruitera. This village has a cozy square with a number of restaurants, artisan stores and coastal galleries. Olive groves and orchards form the backdrop to picturesque Sant Mateu and is known for its small-scale winemaking and has a nice restaurant where locals like to gather for lunch.

Rest Day

A visit to Ibiza’s capital is definitely recommended. Lounging by the hotel pool is, of course, also an option.

San Miquel route (48 km)

Today you will cycle along rolling country roads and an occasional short spirited climb to San Miquel. The traditional village of San Miguel is the gateway to the less developed, rugged coast of northern Ibiza. The village has one of the oldest and most famous churches on the island, built between the 14th and 18th centuries. San Miguel has an impressive position, dominating the landscape all the way to the shore of Puerto de San Miguel, once the village’s fishing port and now a popular small resort.

White villages route (57km, 450hm)

On the last bike route of this vacation, you will cycle through several authentic Ibiza-style villages. Examples of the island’s traditional architecture can still be found in these villages. Landowners built defense towers attached to their houses to protect themselves from pirate attacks.

At the end of the afternoon, return the rental bikes to the bike rental shop

During the cycling vacation in Ibiza, you will cycle varied bicycle tours of 40-60 kilometers daily. The cycling routes are on paved, car-free interior roads and through authentic villages. Flat stretches alternate with hilly landscape. Comfort is very important during a cycling vacation, which is why you will stay at hotel Tropic Garden in the cozy town of Santa Eulària des Riu. This hotel is equipped with sauna, gym and swimming pools and is located directly on the sea. The 8-day package is on a bed and breakfast basis.

Ibiza has many secluded beaches, beautiful deserted inland roads and an interior full of fruit trees. In addition, there are many authentic villages with whitewashed houses and churches to visit while cycling in Ibiza. The people are very friendly and there is a relaxed atmosphere. Especially in the north of the island, we cycle past a true paradise. All this makes Ibiza the place for a cycling vacation in Spain.

Ibiza also acts as a magnet for artists from around the world. Temperatures are very mild in early spring. The countryside turns white in early spring with the blossoming almond trees and abundant flowers.
