The permanent base in Fethiye is a cozy family hotel, run by a Turkish/Belgian family, located a stone's throw from the lively promenade. You will stay the first 4 days in the hotel in Fethiye and the last 3 days in an authentically built stone house in Yakaköy. This house also has the luxury of a pool and is located on a mountainside with many roof terraces. Sleeping outside under the stars is recommended!
During the vacations, there is extensive cooking with local ingredients. You will certainly be spoiled with typical Turkish dishes.
On the 3rd day, a rest day is scheduled before the next hikes continue.
WALKING IN FETHIYE Located in southwestern Turkey, Fethiye is right by the sea. The surroundings of this town have much to offer the hiker: flora, fauna, culture, beach, sea and a friendly population. Fethiye is surrounded by substantial mountains and, unlike many other coastal towns, has not yet been overrun by tourists. It is a traditional working town full of activity, a harbor with fishing boats and a luxury marina. The beating heart of Fethiye is Paspartur, with narrow streets lined with stores and restaurants.
Ancient sights are just steps away. The rich historical past of this area is reflected everywhere in the streets.
