Day to day

Your personal travel information and bike transfer (if booked) will take place in the evening. We recommend a stroll through the medieval center of Hann. Münden, with its historic half-timbered houses in the Weser Renaissance style. You will enjoy the beautiful old buildings.

Overnight stay in Hann. Münden.

Along the river Fulda to the “capital of the German Fairy Tale Route”: Kassel. This city is also an experience outside of the famous Documenta. A special museum landscape, the Karlsaue state park and the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe with its imposing castle and Hercules statue offer plenty of entertainment all year round.

Overnight in Kassel.

Enjoy a leisurely bike ride along the Fulda to Melsungen. This historic half-timbered town is more than 1,000 years old. You will enjoy the flower-decorated narrow streets, the Landgrave Castle, the Romanesque-Gothic town church and the idyllic market square.

Today you will follow the river to Rotenburg a. d. Fulda, located in northern Hesse. Experience 750 years of history!

A leisurely bike ride along the Werra River today takes you to the half-timbered town of Bad Sooden-Allendorf. Nestled in the gentle low mountains of the Hohe Meißner you will find a fairytale idyll of half-timbered houses, dense forests with hiking trails, cozy restaurants and modern wellness facilities. Brine and salt are good for the body, especially for muscles, airways and joints.

This 7- or 8-day round trip takes you along two of Germany's most beautiful rivers: the Fulda and the Werra. From medieval Hann. Münden you will cycle to Kassel, home of the world-famous Documenta art exhibition and surrounded by beautiful parks and museums. Further along the route, charming half-timbered towns such as the more than 1,000-year-old Melsungen and the picturesque Eschwege, where the houses are slightly crooked and the streets invite you to stroll. You can unwind in the spa town of Bad Sooden-Allendorf, before the route takes you back to the starting point via the blooming seasonal paradise of Witzenhausen. The daily distances range from about 25 to 40 kilometers, making the tour suitable for cyclists who want to enjoy themselves without overexerting themselves.
