Eye4cycling once again put together a very nice cycling vacation. The second group trip in Macedonia June 30 was a wonderful experience. A landscape that can be described as a mix between the French Alps and southern Austrian lake regions. The routes were on relatively good roads with little traffic, although one remains wary of the occasional fast passing Mercedes. Fortunately, no aggressive dogs or other cycling inconveniences, you can cycle very relaxed. Along some routes plenty of fruit, nuts ed in the trees, delicious for the lovers. Hotels were fine, mostly right on the water so that after the bike ride a wonderful dip in the lake could be taken with crystal clear water and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Good food anywhere, though the portions are generous and they like meat. Sometimes a salad with some bread is enough. Macedonians are humble and friendly people who usually speak an occasional word of English. The hybrid bikes are a delight, ride very lightly and pose no problem for the occasional bit of dirt. It does lack a stand which is inconvenient if you get off to take a picture, for example. Tours are doable, including the occasional longer climb in the second week. Fortunately, in hot weather, there is reasonable shade on the trail. I join the others: highly recommended ! Greetings Herman
