Should you arrive by train or plane in Bordeaux, we will take you to the starting point of your cycling vacation; Pian Médoc. If you come by car you can park it free and safe at the first hotel, during the trip the train station or the airport of Bordeaux.

Fietroute Pian Médoc-Margaux-Moulis (25-40km)

On the first route, you will cycle from Pian Medoc through the vineyards of the world-famous Margeaux through the south side of the Gironde to Moulis. This road crossing the Medoc is certainly one of the most beautiful and never bores. What a pleasure to cycle here past the vineyards of the world’s most famous wineries. Admire the classical façade of Château Margaux from the early 19th century. The Medoc area enjoys worldwide fame among many. Stop briefly in the port of St. Petersburg, for example. Julien where, in the past, wine barrels, cargo ships were rolled in. During the longest route, you will cycle a loop through the heart of the “Medoc rouge.

Route de la Corniche (35-45km).

This route leads you to Lamarque where the boat takes you across the Gironde to the citadel of Blaye. During this route, you will cycle to the magnificent citadel of Blaye before continuing your journey on the banks of the estuary. The citadel is imposing and majestic with its 33 acres in the heart of the city and offers a magnificent view of the Gironde River. You will pass through the vineyards of the Cotes de Blaye AOC Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur. Finally, cycle to Bourg-sur-Gironde, along the “Corniche Fleurie,” where the presence of numerous palm trees, are surprising. Bourg sur Gironde is an architectural jewel. Clinging to a rock surrounded by walls, the village is one of the most beautiful and best preserved of the estuary.

On the road to Saint-Emilion (40-50 km)

On the way to the vineyards of Saint-Emilion, you will pass two other famous vineyards: Fronsac and Pomerol. The appellation of Pomerol, nearest neighbor to Saint-Emilion, occupies a small plateau north of Libourne. This small area has a great reputation and the wines of Pomerol are among the most prized in France, including the famous “Petrus.” The wines of Fronsac are among the most historic wines of Bordeaux, even to the court of King Louis XIV. You will cycle through a varied landscape of hills and plateaus, forming a beautiful mosaic of plots. The vines here stretch into infinity. You will spend the night in a charming hotel in Saint- Emilion

Rest day- round trip Saint (25-35km)

Today is a nice day to explore Saint-Emilion and stroll around. For enthusiasts, we have another beautiful cycling route through the eastern part of Saint-Emilion past vineyards, estates and picturesque villages. Through the banks of the Dordogne River, you will cycle back to the hotel in Saint-Emilion. You will stay in the same accommodation as yesterday.

From Saint-Emilion to Bordeaux (50km)

After passing Branne, located on the Dordogne River, you will reach the bike path “Roger Lapébie”. This bike path converted into a railroad is named after the 1937 winner of the Tour de France. You will follow this beautiful path that goes to Creon and cycle through varied landscapes, medieval towns, abbeys and Romanesque churches. You cycle to the majestic Place de la Bourse in the heart of Bordeaux with a beautiful view the stone bridge over the Garonne, which you crossed earlier. You will spend the night at a comfortable hotel in Bordeaux.
